A web-form product for a business-data platform

A product built on a widely used business-data platform. At the start there was a very wide product vision.

Target users, scope, product shape, and go-to-market direction were not yet defined. The first job was not implementation. It was turning ambiguity into a product direction.

Focus on one product.

The scope narrowed to a single, focused product: a web form that collects data into the platform from people outside it, who need no account of their own. One thing, done clearly, instead of a wide set of possibilities.

Leadership includes handing it over.

Product ownership eventually moved to another engineer. Leading something is not owning it forever. It is also passing ownership on at the right time.
